Welcome to OLLI’s new monthly newsletter. We would like to dedicate our first edition to Cathi Cody-Hudson, who has recently retired after 41 years with UVM’s Professional and Continuing Education. She played a strong role in OLLI’s history, growth, and success. She was the OLLI statewide administrator from (2009-2014) and served as the OLLI Director 9 years (2014-2023). We are grateful for her tireless and fearless dedication to the OLLI COMMUNITY over the years.
We spent a beautiful day at Bleu Lavande Lavender Farm in July. Cynthia, a new OLLI member and Bleu Lavande trip participant, shares, “Our trip to Bleu Lavande in Magog, Quebec was absolutely magical!
The fields of lavender were beyond beautiful, and as we reached them, the scent was invigorating! The people there were kind and friendly, and we learned a lot from our Guide! We got to taste lavender lemonade and lavender honey, and even sample lavender chocolate.
We were free to walk the grounds taking in the many varieties of this beautiful flowering plant in all its summer glory! We even took part in a breathing workshop outside that taught us wonderful techniques for overall better health. Our luncheon was varied and full of fresh flavors. This was a day to remember!”
